According to locals, it is believed that Peer Budhan Ali Shah came to Jammu and Kashmir from an Arab country in the 14th century. While Baba Hara Peer stayed in the village, he continued to alleviate the villagers' suffering. One day, Baba left the village. In his memory, the people of Kotli Mafi built a shrine and began to worship him.
